Frequently

  • I would love to hear from you! The first step can sometimes be the hardest (yet most rewarding). If anything you've seen or read moves you, please reach out.

Once you do, we can schedule a 20 minute free discovery call where together we can decide if this would be a good fit for us.

Curious about diving in but feeling like you want to get your feet wet first? Reach out to ask about a”try-on” session for any service.

  • I prioritize weekly therapy. This means that together we will find one day and time and that will be your weekly therapy schedule.

While occasionally it might be beneficial to go down to every other week (for example, if we are phasing out of our work together), from my experience, working with clients on a weekly consistency is the most supportive way to maximize the benefits of therapy.

Research has shown that weekly therapy has a much stronger treatment outcome.

With an intention to practice with equity and accessibility, I hold a few sliding scale spots for working class & lower-middle class individual & couple therapy clients. Currently, these spots are full.

  • To cancel or reschedule any booked appointment, I require at least 48 hours notice in order to waive the session fee.

With less than 48 hours notice or no notice, you will be responsible for the session fee.

  • I accept Aetna, Anthem Blue Cross, and Quest Behavioral Health insurance. Currently, the insurance spots I hold for those in need are full.

I am also considered a licensed “out of network” provider, meaning that as a private pay client, I can write you a superbill to receive reimbursement for all or partial of your session fees from your insurance provider, depending on your insurance.

  • Yes! I see therapy clients both in-person (in Oakland) and virtually as long as they are a resident of California, where I am registered. I see coaching clients virtually, worldwide.

  • I have a vast age range experience -- from newborn to middle-age. I also have had the opportunity to work with people from varying environments and socioeconomic backgrounds from the Pacific Northwest and the Bay Area to Nepal, India, and Guatemala.

Within these experiences I have worked with humans identifying as houseless, BIPOC, white, immigrant, abled and disabled, LGBTQIA+, poly/CNM, neurotypical and neurodiverse. As a queer therapist, I particularly hold a passion for serving the LGBTQIA+ community.

It is vitally important for me to stay active in my work of dismantling white supremacy within myself as well as stay educated and cognizant of any identities I don’t hold, that my clients do hold.

  • To me, spaces meant for healing can not be therapeutic unless they are actively addressing the intersections of our lives that encompass oppression and privilege.

This means that these topics and conversations are centered and made space for in our work together.

Additionally, as a white-identifying cis-gender woman, it is my responsibility to constantly be engaged in my own personal work of educating myself and deconstructing not just all the areas in which I hold power and privilege, but also how our larger systems at play benefit from the white, cis-gender, male, heterosexual, able-bodied, and neuro-typical gaze.

I welcome the opportunity to engage in conversation around these topics at any time during our work together.
